Libraries Host 18th Annual Du Bois Lecture

The Libraries will host the 18th Annual Du Bois Lecture on February 23, 2012, at 4:30 p.m., in the Cape Cod Lounge, Student Union. Derrick P. Alridge will give a talk, “Ideas Have Consequences: The Radical Pedagogy of W.E.B. Du Bois.” He will explore Du Bois’s many meanings of pedagogy and offer a genealogy of Du Bois’s ideas about a variety of issues faced by black Americans during the 20th century. Refreshments will be served. The event is open to the public.
