Circulation, Reserves & Stacks Management - Lower Level, Du Bois Library

The Circulation/Reserves Services Department loans materials from the UMass Amherst Libraries' collections to eligible borrowers. The Department is also in charge of laptop and multimedia equipment lending, loan policies, searches, holds, recalls, fines, bills, and carrels. UMass Amherst faculty, staff, and students may request books from the libraries in Five Colleges (Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, and Smith).
Eligible borrowers for items held in the UMass Library collections include all UMass Amherst faculty, staff, students, alumni, visiting scholars; students, staff, and faculty of the Five Colleges (Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, and Smith); and residents of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Borrowing privileges are extended to Boston Library Consortium card holders.
The Stacks Management group in Circulation Services is responsible for maintaining the orderly condition of the collections shelved in W. E. B. Du Bois Library as well as the moving of collections to the Five College Library Depository.
