The Interlibrary Loan / Document Delivery Department obtains from other libraries materials, which are either unavailable or are not owned by the UMass Amherst Libraries, on behalf of UMass faculty, staff, and students. Interlibrary loan / Document Delivery also provides materials from this collection to other libraries in response to Interlibrary Loan requests. The Department provides traditional Interlibrary Loan services in addition to Document Delivery of articles and books from our own collection to our users for a fee. Current and retired UMass faculty, and current staff, and students holding a valid ID are eligible for Interlibrary Loan and document delivery services.

For UMass faculty, staff, and students who want to obtain materials the UMass Amherst Libraries do not own or for delivery of UMass materials to desktop or doorstep, find out about Interlibrary Loan and Library Express services at our department services page.
For Libraries that wish to borrow from us, find out about information for other libraries.
