DU BOIS LIBRARY CLOSED MONDAY, DECEMBER 20
Amherst, MA – On Monday, December 20, 2010, the Du Bois Library will be closed for work associated with the elevator replacement project.
The UMass Amherst Libraries recently initiated a project to replace all five elevators in the Du Bois Library with new equipment, controls, and cars. One elevator at a time will be taken out of service and each elevator assembly replacement will take approximately 12 to 16 weeks. The project is expected to be completed in 2012.
