Amherst, MA – The UMass Amherst Libraries announce an Open House for faculty in the Teaching Commons on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., on Floor 26, in the Du Bois Library. The program includes welcoming remarks at 2:30 p.m., followed by discussion and tours of the facility. Representatives from several faculty and student support services will be available to talk about resources available to faculty on campus. Refreshments will be served.

It is a space for faculty to collaborate or work individually, equipped with computers and presentation equipment, on-site assistance and faculty service referrals, comfortable seating, and a fantastic view.
The Teaching Commons hours during the fall semester are Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Sunday 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.
