W.E.B. DU BOIS LIBRARY REFERENCE DESK MOVES TO NEW LOCATION

Amherst, MA – It is now easier to find a librarian to help with research needs such as refining a paper topic, finding an article or book, creating a bibliography, and more. The Reference desk in the Du Bois Library is now in a more visible and convenient location; at the bottom of the stairs in the Learning Commons, on the Lower Level, near the windows of the courtyard with a sign that reads, “Ask A Librarian.”

Librarians are available to students, faculty, staff and community members through May 10, 2014 in person on Sundays 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Mondays to Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Reference help is also available online: www.library.umass.edu, click on “Ask us,” email: ref@library.umass.edu, phone Du Bois Library: 413-545-0150, Science Library: 413-545-1370. For in-depth research, there are consultations by appointment.

Reference Services is part of the Research and Liaison Services Department of the Library. Librarians support research by assisting with the use of UMass Amherst Library resources, licensed electronic databases, and research materials from other sources.
