ADDED ENTRY POLICY
Follow Library of Congress policy and practice in making author/uniform title series added entries for sets of an author's collected or selected works. For the form of the series entry see the document on "Uniform Title Policy."Top of page
Example: 490 1n Variorum edition of the works of Geoffrey Chaucer ; |v v. 2800 1n Chaucer, Geoffrey, |d d. 1400. |t Works. |f 1979 ; |v v. 2.
Follow authority control procedures in the documents "Series Authority Workflow for Cataloging with LC Copy" and "Series Authority Workflow for Contributed Copy Cataloging, Original Cataloging and Retrospective Conversion." When entering a new authority record for these series, be sure that there is a cross reference from the form of the title used in the item being cataloged.
