Duplication of Faculty Images
Faculty members who wish to have their images duplicated and included in the Luna Insight image database should consult with the Image Librarian. The Insight database is intended to be an active teaching tool rather than a storage area. Images that go into the database collections should fulfill reasonable expectations of serving as a course resource.
In some instances, a faculty collection may not have great potential as a course resource but has value in other ways. In such cases the staff of the Image Collection Library will work with the faculty member to develop a plan of action.
If images are to be posted in the main Insight database collections, the Image Collection Library can offer some limited assistance with production of the images and records. In other cases, the Library staff will be glad to assume the role of a consultant, providing advice on how to best plan and execute a digital conversion project.
