Maintenance of Images and Replacement of Old or Discolored Slides
Any digital images that display poorly (bad color, cropping, etc.) should be brought to the attention of the Image Collection Librarian. The Library will replace these images with better quality scans. When a digital image is replaced in Luna Insight, it will disappear from any preset presentation in which the old version resides. The Library will attempt to prevent disruption to existing presentations, but such disruptions are inevitable on occasion.
Slides that have lost labels or broken glass will be repaired as time allows or by specific request. Slides that have become discolored over time will not be replaced unless a specific request is made. Discolored slides that are the sole representation of a work will remain in the collection under the premise that a bad version of a work is better than no version at all.
