 Agriculture

  • 2002 Census of Agriculture
    Leading source of statistics on agricultural production including information on land in farms, value of land/buildings and machinery, agricultural chemicals used, hired farm labor, etc. Includes links to 1997 and 1992 census.

  • New England Agricultural Statistics
    Covers Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont and regional aggregation.

Communities

  • American FactFinder
    Major source for Census 2000 population, housing, economic and geographic data.

  • Commonwealth Communities
    Includes public school and community profiles, summaries of municipal finances, state legislators, regional offices for a variety of state agencies. Links to official city/town and public school websites, and other community sites that provide substantial civic information.

  • Massachusetts State Data Center
    Liaison between the Commonwealth and the U.S. Bureau of the Census. Houses all the Bureau's data on Massachusetts and is the official release point for census of population data.

  • Cherry Sheet
    Official notification by the Commissioner of Revenue to municipalities and regional school districts of estimated state aid to be paid and charges to be assessed over the next fiscal year.

  • Monthly Revenue Reports
    Monthly report of tax revenue.

  • Municipal Data Bank
    Provides financial and demographic information on Massachusetts' cities and towns.

  • Municipal Spreadsheets
    Include revenues, expenditures and property tax information for both the current and past years.

    Includes crime statistics, police employment, reports on criminal justice issues.

  • Department of Corrections Commitment Reports
    Statistical description of individuals committed by the courts as a result of criminal offense to the Massachusetts Department of Corrections.

    Includes demographic statistics, offense, and security levels.

  • Massachusetts Crime Rates 1960-2005
    Categories include Property, Murder, Forcible Rape, Robbery, Aggravated assault, Burglary, Larceny-theft, and Vehicle theft.

  • Recidivism Reports
    Statistical description and recidivism rates of offenders released to the street via expiration of sentence, good conduct, or parole.
