Choosing a Database of Journal Articles

For more detailed information about why to use a journal (or periodical) article, see the first two pages of the "Finding Articles from Journals and Magazines" section of the "Getting Started" tutorial.

Databases serve as the indexes, or directories, to journal articles and other information. Expanded Academic is a great database to start with to search for journal articles for Communication Disorders.

To select your database go to the Library's Database Locator and choose:

  1. Find databases by subject
  2. General and Interdisciplinary
  3. Expanded Academic Index.
