Searching the Catalog for Journals

So you have searched a database and found the perfect article for your topic, but the text of that article isn't available in the database. Are you out of luck? NO!

From the article citation you can search the Library Catalog for the journal title. For example, a journal title search in the catalog for the American Journal of Nursing:

would retrieve the following record:

This record tells you that the Library has the September, 2002 issue, and it will be located in the Main Library at the call number location RT1.A5.

Please note: the most current two years of journal issues from the W.E.B. Du Bois Library are located with microforms and current periodicals on the main floor. Older issues are shelved by call number in the circulating stacks. For call number locations, check the Floor Directory.
