Locating an Article

From your subject or keyword search you will retrieve a results list of articles which match your search terms and limit conditions. As in Expanded Academic ASAP, your list may include three types of records:

  1. Citation - Title, Author, Publication, Issue, Date & Page Numbers
  2. Abstract - Citation and Summary of Article
  3. Text - Citation, Abstract and the Full-Text of the Article

search results list

As you review the results list you can:

  • Select an individual record to view, or
  • Mark multiple records you want to view in one list.

At the bottom of either page, you have the options to:

  1. Search for publication in UMass Libraries (catalog search)
  2. Reformat for printing
  3. Retrieve article in originally published format (not always available)
  4. Send a plain text version to yourself via e-mail

If the article is not available in the database, search the library catalog.
