Digital Scholarship Center

The Digital Scholarship Center, formerly the Image Collection Library (ICL), serve to assist faculty and students in the creation of digital projects. We are happy to consult with you and connect you to other library and campus resources that can support your digital scholarship.

We provide access to image databases and teach image discovery techniques for our users, and we provide consultation and assistance for faculty members who maintain their own image collections.

Who can use the DSC?

Our imaging and consultative services are available for use by any person in the UMass Amherst campus community.

Any person on campus can access Luna and Artstor, and those with NetIDs can connect from off-campus. Faculty members and instructors may request accounts to make use of some of the more advanced features of the databases to help prepare and present images.

Faculty members and instructors may also request the creation of Personal Collections to hold their own images that they use for teaching or research.
