Reserve a Group Study Room at SEL
Welcome to the SEL Group Study Room Reservation System
The UMass Science and Engineering Library, located in Room A273 of the LGRC Low-rise, has 8 Group Study Rooms with computers and whiteboards.
Rooms may be used without a reservation; however, groups with a booking have priority, and individuals or groups of 2 may be asked to move for a group of 3 or more.
Guidelines for Reserving a Room
During regular semesters, UMass Amherst students may make reservations for groups of 3 or more during peak hours.
Reservations begin/end on the hour and requests must be placed prior to the hour. Reservations may be made up to 2 weeks in advance.
- Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 9 pm (requests accepted until 8 pm)
- Friday from 8 am to 3 pm (requests accepted until 2 pm)
Reservations per individual are limited to a maximum of 2 hours per day; 2 times per week (4 hours weekly).
The minimum reservation is for 1 hour. The system only allows bookings to be made before the hour they take effect. Reservations begin and end on the hour (at 9 am, not at 9:15 am).
Groups larger than 3 may be more comfortable in Rooms G or H.
