The Map Collection contains numerous state, federal, and international thematic maps, atlases and guides in the environmental and geosciences, including soil surveys, land use, tectonics, geology, hydrology, glaciology, seismology, mineralogy, climatology, biogeography, ecosystems, agriculture, and forestry.

USGS geologic and hydrologic quadrangles are located in the Integrated Sciences and Engineering Library (ISEL).
