NEWS RELEASE: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                       DATE: 06/08/06 CONTACT : LESLIE SCHALER, COMMUNICATIONS ASST., (413) 545-0162   LIBRARY HOSTS TOURS FOR ALUMNI WEEKEND Amherst, MA -  The UMass Amherst Libraries will host tours for Alumni weekend on Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10.  The W.E.B. Du Bois Library will provide tours of the new Learning Commons on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Visitors can request a tour at the General Information Desk in the entrance lobby.    Special Collections and University Archives will be open on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for alumni to view exhibits and collections. The Integrated Sciences and Engineering Library will be open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.  An exhibit on UMass Amherst graduates who have contributed in the fields of science and engineering is on display.  Refreshments and mementos will be available for visitors.
