~ A talk by Clayborne Carson ~

Amherst, MA – Clayborne Carson, Professor of History at Stanford University and Director of the Martin Luther King, Jr., Research and Education Institute will give a talk on February 22, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. at the W.E.B. Du Bois Library at UMass Amherst.  The talk will take place on the Lower Level (Main Floor).
The Library marks Du Bois' birthday each year with a special event.

In addition to these volumes, Carson has written or co-edited numerous other works based on the papers.

Recently, Dr. Carson collaborated with Roma Design Group of San Francisco to create the winning proposal in an international competition to design a national King memorial in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Carson has lectured at many colleges and universities in the United States and abroad on a wide range of topics including King, SNCC, Malcolm X, the Black Panther Party, and Black-Jewish relations.
