Jeffery Amherst Bookshop Holds Third Annual Benefit
for the UMass Amherst Library Saturday, December 10

~ 10% of proceeds will be donated to the UMass Amherst Library ~

Amherst , Mass. – The Jeffery Amherst Bookshop & College Store will donate 10% of its proceeds on Saturday, December 10, 2005, to the UMass Amherst Libraries. Located at 55 S. Pleasant Street , Amherst , MA , the “Jeff Bookshop,” will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on December 10. Shoppers receive personal customer service at this independent bookseller and free gift wrapping for the holidays. Phone, fax, and email orders count toward the fundraiser too. For book lovers, library lovers, and holiday shoppers, this is an ideal way to support local business and the area's only public research library while making holiday purchases.

The UMass Amherst Libraries are open to all. Borrowing privileges are granted to adult residents of Massachusetts and to secondary students under 18 years old. The proceeds from this event will help enhance library facilities and provide patrons with the best information resources and services possible.
