NOVEMBER EXHIBITS IN THE LIBRARY

"A Look Back at Lake Pleasant, Massachusetts" an exhibition of 19th and early 20th century photos and antique bottles and other artifacts found over the past two years in the Lake Pleasant section of Montague is on display this month on the Main Floor of the Du Bois Library. The artifacts include pottery, marbles, tools, statuary, silverware, and other remnants of one of the early resort towns of Massachusetts.

Also on view on the Main Floor is "The Minuteman Marching Band" an exhibit of memorabilia related to "The Power and Class of New England" - the UMass Amherst Minuteman Marching Band. The display includes the Louis C. Sudler Trophy, the most prestigious honor bestowed upon college bands, which UMass received in 1998. Historic posters and a former band uniform (1981-2001) are also featured.
