SCIENCE LIBRARIES SURVEY SPONSORED BY
FACULTY SENATE RESEARCH LIBRARY COUNCIL

Recognizing that there are new needs, new opportunities, changing technologies and decreased staffing for the UMass Amherst campus' science libraries (Morrill Biological Sciences Library and the Physical Sciences and Engineering Library), the Faculty Senate Research Library Council has formed a Science Libraries Working Group to explore concepts for the future of these facilities.

William E. Bemis, Chair of the Research Library Council, is also heading the Working Group whose stated goal is to advise the University Libraries on decisions regarding the future of the science libraries at UMass Amherst.

As part of this work, the Working Group is conducting a short survey to be found at http://www.library.umass.edu/forms/research.html.

All students and faculty are encouraged to take a few minutes to complete and electronically submit the questionnaire by December 23, 2002.
