UMass WorldCat offers you many convenient and useful services
Find books, DVDs, CDs, articles, microfilm and more at UMass and in libraries across the world!
With one search you can find all kinds of materials on any given topic - both at UMass Amherst and at thousands of other libraries. Note that not all of UMass Amherst collections are included. Also note that for advanced research, you should make full use of our extensive database collection. If you have questions, ask a librarian for guidance.
View search results more narrowly by specific author, format, publication year, language, etc., or find more materials with the same subject heading.
Limit your search results by these "facets" in the left column of the search results page, or find "more like this" by subject from a specific item record.
See a single master record for a work in the search results, then view all editions and formats available.
Search results for a particular title are consolidated into one record, but you can see a comprehensive list of various publications by selecting "View all editions."
Request materials (books, DVDs, CDs, articles, microfilm, and more) owned by UMass Amherst and by libraries all over the world! At no charge to you!
If UMass does not own the item or if our copy is checked out, you will have the option to request it and UMass Amherst Libraries will obtain a loan or a copy at no charge.
Cite items in your choice of five popular citation styles or send to a bibliograpahic manager.
Choose from APA, Chicago, Harvard, MLA, and Turabian or export your citations to RefWorks or Endnote, two popular bibliographic management programs.
Bookmark, share, and link.
Send book and other titles to Delicious, Digg, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, and over 50 other online services. Easily create links in SPARK, UMass Blogs, and course webpages.
Read and write reviews.
On the detailed record page for a particular item, you can enter a rating and review under the "Reviews" tab, and contribute factual notes or a book's table of contents under the "Details" tab. You can also read the reviews that other people have written.
Tags are keywords that help you classify or describe items you find in WorldCat. Tags may help you find similar items or they may just help you organize items in a way that makes sense to you! Tags also let you see what other users have found and categorized under the same keywords.
