Partnering for Quality Service

The Learning Commons is maintained through a collaborative effort between several offices and programs on the UMass Amherst Campus.  The contributions and perspectives from these partners continues to provide a well-rounded and holistic view of the academic needs of the undergraduate community.

University Libraries Mission

As a gateway to knowledge, the Libraries are a key partner in teaching, learning, and research at UMass Amherst. By combining the latest information technology with excellent public service, the staff guides and maintains a rich information environment, facilitates access to it, and creates a hub of campus and community scholarly activity.

The Assistive Technologies Center, run by OIT Computer Classrooms, is an important service located in the Learning Commons.
