The University of Massachusetts Press has published six volumes of W.E.B. Du Bois’ selected correspondence and previously unpublished writings, edited by Herbert Aptheker:

- Against Racism: Unpublished Essays, Papers, Addresses, 1887-1961 (1985)
Microfilm edition
The bulk of W.E.B. Du Bois’ correspondence was microfilmed in 1980. The set of 79 reels is widely available in research libraries, with an additional 10 reels of Du Bois’ writings and other miscellaneous materials available in the Department of Special Collections and University Archives.
