Library Student Employment FAQ
I filled out an application but I didn't hear back.
We regret that we are not able to contact every applicant due to the high volume of applications we receive. We will contact qualified applicants directly for interviews. If you did not receive an interview, please check the status of the position above.
Can I fill out an application in case another job opens up later in the semester?
No. We do not keep applications on file once a position has been filled. If you would like to apply for another open position at any point you will need to reapply.
Do you only hire students who have work study? What is work study and do I have it?
The Library gives preference to students who have work study awards as part of their financial aid package. For other information about Federal work study funds, please contact the Office of Financial Aid Services.
I worked for the Library in the past, do I still have to fill out an application?
If you are not currently working for the Library, then you must fill out a new application. If you currently work for the Library and would like to apply for a different position, please speak with your supervisor.
Do I have to be a UMass student to apply for a job at the Library?
I have a question that's not on here.
