Electronic Books

The Library subscribes to a growing collection of scholarly and professional books in electronic format. You can locate electronic books through the UMass Library Catalog and two electronic book databases: netLibrary and Books24x7. netLibrary offers a broad collection of both popular and academic titles. Books24x7 provides computer software manuals and handbooks. The electronic book collection is licensed for on-campus access by all and remote access by OIT Account holders.



Electronic Books through the UMass Library Catalog


To locate electronic books through the UMass Library Catalog, click the "Online Resources" button on the Library Catalog search screen. You may search online resources by author, title, subject or keyword. An online resources search also locates other material types such as online journals and scholarly websites.

netLibrary
netLibrary offers the world's most comprehensive collection of scholarly, reference, and professional books in electronic format. For more information about using the netLibrary site, visit the netLibrary Customer Support Center.

Books24x7
Books24x7 provides a full-text collection of information technology reference books from leading publishers including MIT Press, O'Reilly, QUE, Sams, Sybex, and Wiley. Topics covered include networking, programming languages, and desktop applications. Key Content: Computer software manuals and handbooks.
