Articles, Journals and Periodicals
Here are some tips for finding articles, journals and periodicals. For an overview, visit Getting Started with Research.
Articles on a Topic
To find articles on a specific topic, search one of the Library's many databases relevant to Comparative Literature. These resources are available to anyone on Library computers, and are available off-campus to UMass students, faculty, and staff with an OIT account; enter your OIT username and password when prompted.
Journals on a Topic
To see what journals the Library subscribes to within a broad subject area, go to the Library Catalog and search for the Subject, adding the word "periodicals;" e.g., literature comparative periodicals; translating and interpreting periodicals.
Journals by Title
To search for a specific journal or periodical, conduct a Journal Title search in the Library Catalog. In the brief journal title display, you will note separate records for the paper version and the online version, if the Library subscribes. Check holdings dates, and for the paper version, note call number and location.
E- Journals
Some online journals are not listed in the Library Catalog. The "E-Journals" list is more complete. For more information, consult the E-Journals page of this guide. Note: "E-Journals" is only a list of journal titles which does not support article searches by subject.
