• National Center for Education Statistics "The primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education." A search engine is available.
• United States Department of Education Research and Statistics Latest research findings, statistics, and information on education for parents, teachers, school board  members, policy makers, and the general public.

• American Factfinder Current population, housing, economic and geographic data from the US Census Bureau.
• The American Memory Millions of primary source American archival materials from Library of Congress, including pictures, pamphlets and recordings. Time Period Covered: 1400s to present.
