Film Studies Research Guide Articles, Journals, and Periodicals
Here are some tips for finding articles, journals, and periodicals. For an overview, visit Getting Started with Research.
Articles on a Topic To find articles on a specific topic, search one of the Library's many databases relevant to Film Studies. Databases are available on Library computers to all and off campus to UMass students, faculty, staff, and affiliates with an OIT account; enter your OIT username and password when prompted.
Journals on a Topic To search for journals and periodicals on a topic in the Library Catalog, click Subject on the left side of the search and after choosing your subject add the word "periodicals" to your search. Search by both Film and Motion Pictures; e.g., Film Studies periodicals or Motion Pictures periodicals.
Journals by Title To search for a specific journal or periodical, conduct a Journal Title Begins With search in the Library Catalog. Note call number and location.
