Locating Audio and Video Materials

Use the Library Catalog and search by subject or title, then limit the search by material type, such as "videos, films slides" or "maps" or "spoken recording." The Location Box will indicate whether materials are located in W.E.B. Du Bois Library Reserve/Media, Special Collections, or Government Documents. A couple of examples follow.

• Nursing
  If you search the subject heading Nursing - Philosophy in the online catalog, you would find one example of a videorecording:

  A Conversation With Virginia Henderson [Videorecording]/National League for Nursing; Production, Total Television Inc.
  [New York, N.Y.]:National League for Nursing, c1989.
  UM/Media V 750

  You may wish to consult the UMASS Nursing Learning Resource Center, 413-545-5099, Morrill 4 North 401, Helene Cunningham, Director, to see what nursing materials may be available there.

• Nutrition
  If you search the subject heading Nutrition in the Library Catalog, you might find:

  Nutrition: food, fads, frauds, facts. [videorecording]
  Mount Kisco, N.Y.:Guidance Associates, c1974.
