Call Number Locations Health science materials are chiefly found in the 'R' section of the Library of Congress classification system used to organize materials in the Libraries. Most 'R's are on the 23rd and 24th floors of the W.E.B. Du Bois Library, but some items are also shelved in the Integrated Sciences and Engineering Library. Check the location field in the Library Catalog to find out which library has the item. Most health sciences materials are found under the following general topics in the following locations. Floor 23 - W.E.B. Du Bois Library
Floor 24 - W.E.B. Du Bois Library
Materials related to health sciences may be found in other call number areas because of the multidisciplinary nature of the field. A few examples follow.
Materials arranged by the Superintendent of Documents Classification System are found in the Government Documents Collection, Floor 6. Use the Library Catalog to search for more specific topics or known items. All Massachusetts residents may borrow books and most other materials. Visit the Main Level (the floor below the Entrance Level) of the W.E.B. Du Bois Library to use the Reference Collection, conduct web-based research, or speak with a Reference Librarian.
