Electronic Journals

An increasing number of journals are available electronically (often linked directly from the Library Catalog or an online index). Many of the electronic journals have restricted access from off campus and are only available to UMass Amherst students, faculty, and staff with an OIT account. To locate online journals by title, use  "E-Journals."

To do a subject search for journals, use the Library Catalog. Enter your subject with the word periodicals immediately following. For example, looking for journals covering communication disorders, use the Library of Congress subject heading communicative disorders immediately followed by periodicals (e.g. communicative disorders periodicals). You can follow this pattern for other subjects as well, as examples below show. If you click on the subject, you will be linked to the Library Catalog where there may be more electronic journals than those listed here.
