Strunk, W. (2000). Elements of Style. Boston: Allyn and Bacon. (UM Reference Desk PE1408 .S772 2000)
Succinctly explains basic rules on writing style, form, composition, capitalization, spelling, and grammar. An earlier edition is available online.

Writing Guides

APA Formatting and Style Guide
Purdue's OWL guide covers the general format of papers, in-text citations, endnotes/footnotes, and the reference page.

UMass Amherst Psychology Department
