Finding Journals and Periodicals
Journals and periodicals are listed in the UMass Library Catalog by their respective titles (e.g., Political Science Review) and also under appropriate subject headings followed by the subdivision -Periodicals (e.g., Political Science-Periodicals).
Most political science journals in print format are located in the W.E.B. Du Bois Library. All bound and most unbound journals are on the upper floors integrated with the books in call number order.
An increasing number of journals can be located in electronic form (often linked directly from the online catalog or an online index). If you want to see which political science journals are available online, many are listed in our Electronic Journal Locator. Some electronic journals include the current issue, and some provide a backfile that will not have the most recent few years. Different publishers have different arrangements with libraries.
Selected political science journals currently received by the library are listed below. Each title is followed by the Library's call number for print copies and/or a link to the online version. Note: This listing is not exhaustive.
