United States History Research Guide Available on Library computers to all. Finding E-books Through the Library CatalogThough the UMass Amherst Libraries Catalog contains bibliographic records for the e-books in the collections listed below, bear in mind the Library has a more extensive collection of print books on U.S. history. Searching the catalog without limits will locate both print and electronic books, and records for e-books will include links to the online versions. To limit catalog searches to e-books only, conduct an Advanced Search in the UMass Amherst Libraries Catalog by author, title, subject, or keyword search, choosing the Format "E-books" under Limits. History E-Book Project Humanities E-Book (HEB) is a full-text collection, including hundreds of English-language books of "major importance to historical studies." Choose "Search" from the main menu to search by author, title, subject, or within the full text of the e-books. Boolean, proximity, and bibliographic (advanced) searching are also available on separate search forms. Choose "Browse" from the main menu to browse the collection by author, title, or subject. NetLibrary NetLibrary is a full-text, online collection of scholarly and popular books. See the NetLibrary Database Guide for information on setting up an account and searching this database.
