BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES LIBRARY CLOSES DECEMBER 19

The Morrill Biological Sciences Library at UMass Amherst closes permanently on December 19, 2003, at 5 p.m. After this date, users should return Morrill materials to the Physical Sciences & Engineering Library on the 2nd Floor of the Lederle Graduate Research Center Lowrise.

Materials housed in the Morrill Biological Sciences Library (214 Morrill Science Center) will be moved and integrated into the existing collections at the Physical Sciences and Engineering Library between December 22, 2003, and January 12, 2004.

During this transition, UMass students, faculty, and staff should request items listed in the UMass Amherst Library Catalog (http://www.library.umass.edu/cgi-bin/aka/babel.cgi?dokma=http://umlibr.library.umass.edu/) with the location UM/Morr. via interlibrary loan through the Library's online ILLiad forms at http://illiad.library.umass.edu/AMH/logon.html. Users will pick up books at the Circulation Services Desk in the W.E.B. Du Bois Library lobby upon email notification of their availability. Users will receive articles electronically.

The general public should request materials that are unavailable during this transition via interlibrary loan through their public library.

Check the Library web site (http://www.library.umass.edu/) for updates on the integration of Morrill Biological Sciences Library into the Physical Sciences & Engineering Library to form the Integrated Sciences & Engineering Library.
