Edible Book Festival
The UMass Amherst Libraries invite you to join us in celebrating this year's Edible Book Festival on April 1, 2021. This festival has been celebrated internationally on or around April 1 since 2000 in commemoration of the birthday of gastronome and author Jean-Anthelme Brillat-Savarin.
2021 Edible Book Festival Voting Form: Voting is open April 1, 9 a.m.-4 p.m..
This year's Edible Book Festival will take place virtually. All members of the Five College community are invited to submit photos of their edible book-inspired creations by noon on March 30, 2021 using the entry form below. Photos of each person's entry will be displayed in an online gallery. An online voting form will be made available on April 1, 2021. Voting will take place from 9am-4pm, winners will be announced by the end of the day.
- Each entry should depict a literary work (fiction or nonfiction) or a literary character. Puns on titles are especially encouraged!
- Entries must be mostly edible (occasional non-edible props permitted).
- Entries must be submitted by March 30, 2021.
By submitting an entry, you agree to allow the UMass Amherst Libraries to use photographs of your entry on our website, newsletter, or other publicly accessible sites.

Winners will be selected for Best in Show, Most Creative, and Best Pun. An online voting form will be made available on April 1, 2021.
