Shoah Visual History

The Shoah Visual History Archive contains over 50,000 testimonies of survivors and witnesses of genocides and crimes against humanity, from the Holocaust to the Armenian, Rwandan, Cambodian and Guatemalan genocides. You can search for people or places, or browse through specific collections. The collections of audio-visual archives are curated and maintained by the USC Shoah Foundation.

Brill's New Pauly, a comprehensive and interdisciplinary encyclopedia of the Antiquity era and it's contemporary influences, is now on trial. The interactions between Greco-Roman culture; Semitic, Celtic, Germanic, and Slavonic culture; and ancient Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are emphasized. You can browse alphabetical entries or search by keyword, author or title.

Drama Online is a comprehensive theater studies database from Bloomsbury. It includes drama texts of 1,200 titles, audio plays, filmed theatrical performances, production stills, critical works on major playwrights, biographical entries on performers, directors, choreographers, and more.

Trial for Confidential Print: Latin America, 1833-1969

The Libraries have a trial for Confidential Print: Latin America, 1833-1969 from Adam Matthew Digital. The archive contains British Foreign and Colonial Offices letters, telegrams, dispatches, investigative reports and treaties on Central and South America and the French- and Spanish-speaking Caribbean published between 1833 and 1969. Topics covered include slavery and the slave trade, immigration, relations with indigenous peoples, wars and territorial disputes, the fall of the Brazilian monarchy, British business and financial interests, industrial development, the building of the Panama Canal, and the rise to power of populist rulers such as Perón in Argentina and Vargas in Brazil.

The Encyclopedia of Social Network Analysis and Mining now on Trial

The Libraries now have a trial for The Encyclopedia of Social Network Analysis and Mining from Springer. This reference sources covers fundamental concepts and research directions in the areas of social networks and applications to data mining back to the 1930's. Three hundred authoritative entries provide research contributions from computer science, mathematics, and statistics to sociology and behavioral science.

Ambrose Video Cancelled

As a result of low use, the Libraries have cancelled our subscription to Ambrose Video, a collection of streaming video titles. We have several other sources for streaming films, including Films on Demand and Kanopy.

AccessScience Added to Collections

New Subscription

The Libraries now subscribe to AccessScience, a broad-based, online scientific reference source that draws from the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science and Technology, the McGraw-Hill Yearbook of Science and Technology and the McGraw-Hill Dictionary of Scientific and Technical Terms. In addition to articles, research reviews, definitions, and biographies, the database includes videos and downloadable images and animations.
