Science & Engineering Library

Technology and space to work
SEL has 73 PCs available for public use (8 of which are in group study rooms), none require a UMass NetID, plus wireless access to the campus network, color and b&w printers and copiers, and multiple scanners. There are eight group study rooms on the entry level floor, each with a computer and white boards, as well as many large and small tables for group or solo work scattered throughout the library, which create a good place to work.

Services
Help with research and class instruction in library use from librarians, and hard-copy book and journal circulation.

The University of Massachusetts Amherst Library is a designated Patent & Trademark Resource Center. SEL librarian, Paulina Borrego, provides primary support for patent and trademark searching. See the research guide for Patents and Trademarks for more information.
