Reinstatements

Circulation brings “newly found” books with “Missing” or “Withdrawn” codes and/or notes in item record.

Step 1: Remove all “Missing” or “Withdrawn” codes and/or notes from the item record.

Decision point: If there are other available items, the process is finished.

If there is only one item:

Step 2: Remove “Suppressed” fields from both HOL and Bib records, adding a 910 with “reinstate” to the bib record.

Step 5: Check OPAC to confirm that the item now appears “available.”

Step 6: Add holdings to WorldCat.

End of process: Put book(s) on a circulation truck.
