SEL - Transfers Within SEL

To Change a SEL Stacks Book to SEL Reference:

1. Get into Aleph Cataloging Mode.

2. Go to the HOL (Holdings Record) for the title to be transferred. Change the 852 field, subfield C from: UGEN to: URF then SAVE the changes: <CTRL> l (lower case letter “l”) and then click on Continue in the pop up box.

3. Go to the Item Record for appropriate volume. Change Item Status: from 01 (Regular) to 13 (Reference). Save changes by clicking on the UPDATE box in the upper right corner of the item record.

4. Relabel item.

To Change a SEL Reference Book to SEL Stacks:

1. Get into Aleph Cataloging Mode.

3. Go to the Item Record for appropriate volume. Change Item Status: from 13 (Reference) to 01 (Regular). Save changes by clicking on the UPDATE box in the upper right corner of the item record.

4. Relabel item or black sharpie out “REF” from call number label on spine.
